Impactful Gynecology Medical Camp


On 18th March 2026, Ritham Special School, Rajapalayam, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Rajapalayam Super Kings, successfully organized a Gynecology Medical Camp for women beneficiaries. The camp was led by Dr. Prakurthi (MS, OG, FRM) from Lakshmi Hospital, who provided expert consultation and valuable guidance on women’s health and hygiene. With the dedicated support of Dr. Karthikeyan, President of the Rotary Club of Rajapalayam Super Kings, the initiative reached many underserved women, offering them access to essential healthcare services, early detection, and medical awareness. This meaningful effort not only improved the health and confidence of the beneficiaries but also reinforced our commitment to community care. We sincerely thank all our supporters and invite donors and well-wishers to join us in organizing more such impactful programs to create a healthier and more inclusive society. 






A Joyful Fun Game Event for Special Children

 On 15th April 2026, a truly heart-touching and joyful event was held at Ritham Special School in Rajapalayam. Well-known influencer Hello Ganesh, along with the generous support of  Sri Lahari Krishna Furniture, organized a fun-filled game event for our children.

The entire campus was filled with laughter, excitement, and pure happiness as our children enthusiastically participated in various fun games. For many of them, these moments are rare and deeply meaningful — moments where they feel included, confident, and truly celebrated.

The highlight of the event was the distribution of prizes to every participant. Each small gift brought immense joy and a sense of achievement, boosting their confidence and encouraging them to express themselves freely.

For children with special needs, such experiences are not just activities — they are powerful opportunities to build social skills, improve emotional well-being, and feel a strong sense of belonging in society.

A Meaningful Initiative in Special Education and Teacher Empowerment

 On 14th March 2026, our school was truly blessed to host a meaningful and inspiring session organized by the Inner Wheel Club Sanjeevi Hills.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Usha, a dedicated volunteer, who conducted a wonderful training session for our staff on handling and understanding children with special needs. Her compassionate approach, practical guidance, and deep commitment touched every heart and strengthened our teachers’ confidence to support each child with patience and love.

A special highlight of the day was the generous contribution of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) to our school. Mrs. Usha also took time to clearly explain the effective use of these TLMs, empowering our staff with new methods to make learning more engaging, meaningful, and inclusive for our children.

These thoughtful resources are not just materials — they are tools of hope, helping our children learn, grow, and shine in their own unique ways.

A Meaningful Celebration of World Down’s Syndrome day at Our School

 World Down’s Syndrome Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in our school on 23rd March 

Our students actively participated in various games and recreational activities, filling the day with smiles, energy, and togetherness. It was truly heartwarming to witness their happiness and confidence.

An insightful session by Mrs. Jansirani helped everyone understand the importance of this day, creating awareness about children with Down’s Syndrome and the incredible potential they hold.

The program was beautifully hosted by Mr. Nithish Kumar, with a thoughtful special address by Mrs. Gowsalya. We sincerely appreciate the dedicated efforts of our teachers, Ms. Kamaladevi and Ms. Jayamalathi, for organizing such a meaningful event.

This celebration became even more special and impactful because of the generous support of our donors. Their continuous encouragement and contribution have brought positive changes in our school, creating more opportunities, joyful experiences, and a better learning environment for our children.

Because of their support, we are able to nurture confidence, inclusion, and happiness among our students. We are deeply grateful for this meaningful partnership that helps us make a difference every day.

Participated in Chennai Volunteers camp in Chennai

 

A volunteer camp was successfully conducted at Loyola College on 06.03.2026 by the Chennai Volunteers Organization, bringing together volunteers from across the city. The event served as a meaningful platform to promote social responsibility and community engagement.

As part of the camp, an exhibition and sales initiative was organized to showcase products made by students from various NGOs. Our school proudly participated by presenting and selling vocational products created by our students.

The enthusiastic response from visitors not only encouraged our students but also highlighted the importance of supporting skill development initiatives. Contributions and encouragement from generous donors play a vital role in empowering these students, boosting their confidence, and helping them move towards a more independent and dignified future.

Proud Moment for Our Organization – “Best Mother of Differently Abled Child Award 2026”

 On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the “8th Global Excellence Awards – 2026” ceremony was held on 06.03.2026 at Krishnasamy Women’s Arts, Science and Management College, S. Kumarapuram, Cuddalore, organized by the Global Organization.

At this event, Mrs. S. Asiya Benazir, the School In-charge of our Ritham Special School, was selected in the Best Mother of Differently Abled Child category and received the “Best Mother of Differently Abled Child” Award. She also delivered a special address during the ceremony.

The programme was inaugurated and presided over by the College Principal, Mrs. Nirmala Boster. The President of the Global Organization, Mrs. Kumudham, delivered the welcome address. The Managing Director, Mr. Gopal, delivered the introductory speech and honoured the special guests.

Greetings were delivered by Mr. Vijayakumar, Secretary of the College, Mr. Nandakumar, Founder of Team Kids Foundation, Chennai, and Mr. Ramkumar, Founder of Iratha Uravugal Trust.

The awards were presented and special addresses were delivered by Mrs. Jenitha, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and Senior Civil Judge, Dr. Kavipriya, Chief Dental Surgeon, Puducherry, Dr. Rajendran, Chairman of Krishnasamy Higher Educational Institutions, Dr. Sathiyamoorthy, Mr. Ilangovan, Member of the Juvenile Justice Board, Mrs. Durga, and Mrs. Vincent Mary, President of Smile Organization.

During the event, Global Special Awards were presented to women achievers in 10 different fields, including education, healthcare, welfare of persons with disabilities, and social service, in recognition of their outstanding contributions.

AWARENESS SPEECH ABOUT INCLUSION IN NORMAL SCHOOL

 

On 02.02.2026, as part of our efforts to promote awareness in mainstream schools, our institution extended its services to R.J. Manthra English School, Virudhunagar. Our school in-charge Mrs. Asiya Benazir, and teacher Mr. Arun Venkatesh, participated in the awareness programme through an online platform.

During the event, our school in-charge Mrs. Asiya Benazir delivered an impactful speech on the topic “Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs in Mainstream Schools.” She emphasized the important role played by mainstream schools in providing equal learning opportunities for all children and highlighted the necessity of inclusive education.

As part of the awareness programme, the parents and teachers of the school received guidance on understanding children with special needs, identifying developmental delays at an early stage, and implementing inclusive education practices in mainstream classrooms.

This meaningful initiative reflects our continued commitment to promoting social awareness and inclusive education.

Digital Transformation Initiative at Our School

        Our school’s chief donor and volunteer, Mr. Sarathi Seenan, volunteered at the school from 20.01.2026 to 27.01.2026. During this period, he conducted training session for the teachers and office staff on handling and improving the school’s data management system.

         To simplify data handling, he created separate Google Mail IDs for the teachers and office staff. He also designed user-friendly Google Sheets for data collection and Google Forms for leave applications, making the overall data management process more efficient, well-organized, and easy to use.

Celebrating a Milestone: Students Successfully Placed

On 9.12.2025, the interview conducted at Novotel Hotel Chennai Sholinganallur, our students S.Hariprasath, E.Muniyasamy, and G.Selvakumar, who have been undergoing training in our institution, successfully cleared the selection process. Following their selection, they completed a one-month structured training program. We are extremely happy to inform you that they officially joined their respective positions on 10.02.2026. This milestone reflects the positive impact of your continuous support and encouragement. Celebrating Our Students’ District-Level Sports Victory

 

Students of our school achieved remarkable success in the District-Level Chief Minister’s Youth Sports Festival organized by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.

The district-level sports competitions for the differently-abled category were held on 30.01.2026 at KVS Higher Secondary School, Virudhunagar. From our school, 11 students participated in the 100-meter race event under the differently-abled category.

In the girls’ category, J. Kanimozhi secured the First Place, and In the boys’ category, K.Udhayamoorthy achieved the Second Place, P. David Samraj won the Third Place, bringing great pride to our institution.

The winners were awarded cash prizes as follows:

·        First Prize – ₹6,000

·        Second Prize – ₹4,000

·        Third Prize – ₹2,000

The prizes were distributed by Ms. Jameela, Head of the Department at Virudhunagar V.V.V. College.

Our students have proven that ability is stronger than disability. RITHAM SPECIAL SCHOOL 22nd ANNUAL DAY

 






The 22nd Anniversary of Ritham Special School was celebrated on 13.02.2026 at 10:00 AM at Ritham Special School. Mrs. M.Manothini and M.Rajathamayenthi welcomed all the special guests, parents and general public who attended the function. Mr. P.S. Kathiresan M.A M.Ed., Managing Trustee of  Ritham Charitable Trust and Retired District Education Officer, delivered the welcome address.

Dr. A.Jeyaram, M.D (paed)., P.G.P.N (Boston) Paediatrician & Neonatoligist, Jeyaram Children’s Hospital, Rajapalayam, also attended as a special guest and presented prizes to the students and delivered a special speech. Another special guest, Dr. N.Sudha, M.B.B.S., D.O., [ophthal], Chief Medical Officer, Sankara Eye Hospital, Krishnankovil, also attended and presented prizes to the students and delivered a special speech. The annual report of the school was presented by the teacher P.PandieswaranThe students showcased their talents by participating in group dance, solo dance, and drama performances. The performances were hosted by the school teacher, G.Gurudharshini and M.Annaguru. At the end of function, the school Principal Mr. K.Venkataramanan delivered the vote of thanks.

The event was well organized by the school administration, teachers, other staff, social workers and students. A large crowd of general public, students and press friends attended the event.
