NEW YEAR GREETINGS - 2021

Thanking you for your incredible support in 2020 our best year yet.

Ritham Charitable Trust is transparent and accountable on how your donations are spent, we value the trust you placed on us by your continuous donation to our project. We started this trust for mentally challenged children because no one is useless in this world. They should have to realize that they too are one in this society and to behave like others. They are also having talents like others. We are happy to share our 2020 some activities with you.

Due to the Corona virus our challenged children are not allowed to access many services. Due to their Physical and Mental Condition also put them at higher risk. Distancing is not an option for many as they depend on their parents for their daily needs.

Therefore, we have devised an innovative plan to address this crisis by provide online education through whatsapp groups to their families on how to protect themselves against Corona virus, their skills, their therapy related videos, their behavior modification tips and some play methods.

We are conducting Online Competitions such as Dance, Song, Yoga, Art and craft and Drawing for World Disability Day. Totally 39 students participated in this online competition conducted for World Disability Day. Through this competition we are happy to reveal our students’ talents to this world. Our students are really happy to do this and put their full involvement in these events.  

We are also participated in online dance competition conducted by JHOOM, DRZYA. There are 21 children participated in DRZYA in which there are 3 children got a special prize for their participation and 3 children were selected to the second round. There are 17 children participated in JHOOM programme. And then there are 3 children selected for the second round in JHOOM programme.

In our school, most of them are poor and from rural side. During this lockdown, they have more difficulties to run their lives because lack of income. In this situation, we are providing the grocery things to our organizations’ students by your contribution. There are 149 children gets benefits from providing grocery things.

Because of your contribution we are providing medicines and hygienic kits like masks, hand wash, medicines and hand sanitizers to our students. There are 61 children gets benefits from providing medicines.

And we are providing dresses for poor children of our organization. There are 21 children gets benefits from providing dresses with the help of you contribution.

Some donors are providing the funds directly to the children’s’ bank account. There are 13 children gets benefits by this fund. It is very helpful to them to running their lives in this situation.

In this year, Our Indian government approves also our construction project and recommended it to the Japan.

We once again thank you for your continuous support and for donations which are helping us to sustain our organization without which it would be impossible in this year.

Our 16^th Sports Day Celebration

Dear all,

             We conducted the 16^th sports day competition in our school to our students on 10.03.2020. Field and track events conducted for our students. Our staffs have done the necessary arrangements for this event. Our students enjoyed very well. Prizes are distributed to winners.

Ritham Special School MLA Function

Dear All,

On 03rd March 2020 at 11.30 am our M.L.A (Member of legislative assembly) Mr S. Thangapandian visits our school. Our students K. Jermila, and teachers Mrs. S. Sivasankari, Mrs. R. Kamaladevi welcomes the Chief Guest, parents and the people. The Managing trusty of RITHAM Charitable Trust and the Retired D.E.O P.S. Kathiresan M.A., M.Ed., gave the welcome address.

          Our M.L.A (Member of legislative assembly) Mr S. Thangapandian distributed the prizes to our district and state sport achievers. He donates his 43^rd month salary for school welfare activities for 4th consecutive year. Our Rajapalayam union chairman Mr. Singaraj and Rajapalayam DMK party secretary Mr. Ramamoorthy and other Rajapalayam party executives attended the event.

Our Teacher Mrs. K. Mahalakshmi consolidated the programme. Then Principal of our school K. Venkataramanan gave vote of thanks.

 Management at the School, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staffs, Volunteers, Parents and students at the School arranged this function grand manner. A Mass at People, Parents, Student and Editors at Newspaper attended this function.

RITHAM SPECIAL SCHOOL 16^th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

             We are celebrate our 16th annual celebration on 4-2-2020. On that day we   distribute pongal to our students. Our senior staff C. Thangaboopathy explains our 16 years achievements. Our school staffs and students said thanks to our existing donors, foundations, Companies, Philanthropies, Volunteers and parents.

OUR SCHOOL STUDENTS SELECTED TO STATE SPORTS EVENTS

Dear all,

                  The TamilNadu Sports Development Authority conducted district level sports on 29.01.2020 at Virudhunagar. Our school 25 students were participated track and group events.

             In track events our school students won 1 first prizes, 2 second prize and 1 third prizes. The district winners were selected to state sports. In group games our school boys and girls team won second prize.

                  The prizes were distributed by our District sports and youth Welfare Officer.

Dear All,

               Our school celebrated 71^st  Republic day on 26.01.2020 at 10.00 am. Our school students, teachers and parents celebrate the function. For that day our school Assistant Teacher Selvi S.Sheeba organise the function. Our Teachers had song the flag song. Our school Principal hoisted our national flag and gave speech about Republic. Our school Student G.Selvakumar has given flag Oath.

              Our students exposed their talents in the way of dance and song on that day. At last sweet distributed to all students, teachers and Parents.

Concept Exhibition In Our Ritham Special School

         We conduct concept exhibition on 23.01.2020. Our school teachers make the project related to their class student skills. The teacher and class students explain about their project to viewers. Our judges are valued the project and selected best three for award. The winners are honoured on Republic day function.

                          Every year Guidestar India award NGOs for their accountability and transparency. We received the transparency award for current year also. We very glad to share the updates for our donors, well-wishers and our supporting NGOs.

HAPPY PONGAL WISHES & PONGAL CELEBRATION

Dear All,

               We are celebrated the Pongal festival on 10.01.2020. Our school student, teachers & parents were participated in this Pongal festival. On that day we prepare the Suriya Pongal and distribute to our kids. Our school Teacher explained the Pongal festival importance. At last every student says ‘Pongalo Pongal’. One of our donor sponsor the afternoon meals to our students.

Our School Student Selected to State Level Floor ball team for 2021 Sweden Special Olympics

Dear All,

          For 2021 Sweden Special Olympics floor ball state team selection held on Nehru Indoor stadium, Chennai from 28^th Dec to 30^th. More than 100 students from all over Tamilnadu special schools participates the event.

Our school five students are participated in the event. Our school student A. Nafiya Hussina selected in state team. Now she is participating the National coaching camp on Bilaspur, Himachala pradesh.
